Welcome Church Visitors

How Good Hospitality Grows Your Church

We have gotten many ideas!

Lightbulb1We are meeting every two weeks and have gotten many ideas from your book, How to Welcome Church Visitors.

We help our regular greeters and it has helped with new people.

Before I bought the book I just wanted to have ideas to help our church greet better and be able to keep new visitors.

I was seeing people come for a couple times then they wouldn’t come back.

Now they are beginning to come and stay.

I would recommend your book  to others if they needed one.

What we have to do is keep reviewing the book and keep trying the ideas you have in the book. We hope and pray that we will continue to keep the visitors coming.

I appreciate your book and your help.

Being the hospitality ministry leader is more than I anticipated

Sticky notes of ideasI was recently asked to serve as chair of hospitality committee.

I discovered that this ministry: “it’s more than I anticipated.”

I have been overwhelmed with

  • where to start with improving the welcome process, or
  • what would be a good direction to go.

Our pastor gave a dream list of what he wanted to accomplish with the hospitality ministry that left me unsure which was most important.

I’ve read through your ebook on church hospitality and visitor welcome, and it has my mind is swirling with ideas.

There is so much to talk to our greeters and ushers about at our meeting on later this month!!!!

Your ebook is now full of my Pink and Yellow Highlights with all the ideas I could use.

You’ve given me some great thoughts about what steps I need to take.

Taking on organizing this ministry doesn’t seem so overwhelming anymore.

The follow-up phone call we had helped me discover some practical steps I could immediately take to fire up the ministry in our 400 member church.

Learned how to organize a greeter team

I am a church strengthening consultant for the Montana Baptist Convention.

Our analysis of several churches showed that the “friendship” factor was low and was costing them the retention and assimilation of first time guests who were passing through their churches without a second visit.

I used your book to teach these churches how to organize and train a greeter team.

The information was well received. We will be doing a further analysis of these five churches by sending a “test” guest to each church to see if they have processed the material adequately.

Thanks for contributing excellent material for us to use in our training of these five Baptist churches.

This makes my job easier

I like the simplicity of the book because it makes for an easy read.  I now have a clearer picture of the greeters role and will take this to my team when we meet this weekend.

We were also wondering what to include in the welcome packets that we planned to put together.  We had some ideas and some samples from other churches and your suggestions are also helpful.

I can’t thank you enough for clearing things up for me.  It will certainly make my job a lot easier.  I don’t feel like I’m spinning in circles anymore.

Bless you,
Ina

We used your stuff for our training meeting!

Evangelism Training MeetingHere is a brief word from one of the buyers of How to Welcome ChurchVisitors.

She used the free coaching bonus and eventually gathered her team for some training, using the material in the book as well as a new MP3 file on Casting A Vision for Hospitality that’s now in the store.

I found your book “How to Welcome Church Visitors” VERY helpful.

We are kicking off a whole new program at our church this fall.

We organized a training event where we used your material (both audio and the ebook). We had LOTS of good discussion and fellowship. . . The meeting ended with many people signing up to greet and also to serve on the lot crew.

We heard, “Thank you for a good meeting!” several times.

There was also applause…for OUR efforts..yours and mine!

I am very excited about what is about to happen within our church. We are trusting God to enhance the program that we already have in place. You and your material will have a huge part to play in that enhancement.

Thank you very much for your expertise and assistance.

Blessings in Him,

Nancy Young, Center Chapel United Methodist Church
